Sundown Volunteer Needed

Hi Joyce,

Hope this email finds you well. I am Sharon from HiVelocity, we are the race organisers for the Sundown Ultramarathon which is happening on the 25th of June. I found your contact through your club’s website. Just a short introduction, the Sundown Ultramarathon is Singapore’s first night run. This year a total of 1000 runners will challenge their limits through this 100km route starting from Marina Barrage and making a U-turn at Bedok Reservoir before making their way back to Marina Barrage.

Hence, with this extensive race route, I would like to seek the support of your club members to help out in this race as roving cyclists to watch over the safety of the runners. I know this may not be the usual cycling activity that your club is involved in, but I hope it can kickstart a form of collaboration between your club and our company in future events.


Below are the details and volunteers entitlement for this event:

Date: 25th June 2011

Time: 4pm to 12pm ( ~20 hours)

· $35 token of appreciation
· Volunteers tee
· Dinner and breakfast
· Appreciation Certificate

Hi Vivienne,

I'm wondering if you could give me your number so that i can call you directly tomorrow. Because i am thinking of using your team as our lead cyclists. But would require more commitment in terms on going on a route recce to familiarise yourselves with the route.

I am looking for 12 cyclists to cycle the stretch of 50km. Remuneration would be $80 per cyclist.
